The Platzer Alm is situated in the idyllic Platzertal valley above the Pfundser Tschey and is one of the most special destinations in the Tyrolean Oberland. The alpine pasture is renowned as one of the highest in Tyrol where milk is still processed into butter and cheese. Here, visitors can enjoy traditional Tyrolean specialities such as a platter of cold cuts, dumplings, cheese and fresh milk amidst an impressive high-alpine landscape.
The path to the alp leads through the wild and romantic high valley of the Pfundser Tschey, past the Maria Schnee chapel and the historic ruins of the former ore and silver processing plant.
