Inn Cycle Path

This popular long-distance cycling route runs right through the eponymous upper Inntal valley, from the towering two and three thousand metre peaks of the Engadin and Tyrol to the rolling hills of Bavaria and Upper Austria. Also along the way: famous cities and cultural landmarks, as well as traditional cuisine from the three countries. In the Tyrolean Oberland, you can experience the River Inn in its wild and untamed form, just as it should be for a real mountain river…

The route largely covers cycling routes and side roads, as well as a few quiet main roads. Some longer stretches involve travelling on gravel, which is why touring, trekking or mountain bikes are recommended.

Etschtal valley cycling route

This cycle tour heads along the River Adige over the Reschen Pass and past the historical Lake Reschen with the old steeple in the lake.
You then head on through the Vinschgau via Burgeis, Glurns, Churburg and Schlanders, and through bumpy fruit fields past a dreamy mountain backdrop to cities such as Merano, Bolzano, Trento and Rovereto, with plenty of culture and living history. A detour to Lake Kaltern and Lake Garda is a true highlight.
