Mountainbike tour
7140 | Bike & Hike Stalanzer Alm
Opening status | Closed
From the information office in Ried i.O., the route initially runs parallel to the Ried-Fendels MTB route (MTB 7109) on the Inntalradweg (R3) through the village and then branches off to the left in the direction of Langwiese. Passing meadows and farms, the tour meanders gently uphill through the forest towards Gfrans, where the route to Fendels (7109) branches off to the left. The route continues straight ahead on a forest path to the Stalanzer Alm. Slowly, the roar of the Stalanzer Bach stream becomes audible, which soon becomes visible deep down in the gorge, surrounded by the mighty Schlanterkopf (2,519 m) and Zirmesspitze (1,944 m) mountains. The trail now runs parallel to the Stalanzer Bach stream, whereby the forest path now becomes increasingly steeper and worse and requires a high degree of technical skill. Once you reach the small bridge, you have mastered the most difficult part of the route. Embedded in the small plateau is the Stalanzer Alm, which invites you to linger and enjoy.Tip: After a walk to the Anton Renk hut, you can marvel at the so-called “falling stream” or climb the challenging climbing wall of the waterfall.
