The Falkaunsalm is situated at 1,962 metres above sea level in the Kaunergrat Nature Park, above Kaunerberg, and is a popular destination for hikers and mountaineers. The mountain hut is accessible via a forest track, making it suitable for people with reduced mobility.
Visitors can enjoy homemade alpine cheese and fresh alpine butter, as well as traditional Tyrolean dishes, whilst taking in the magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and impressive sunsets. The hut is open during the summer months from mid-June to mid-September. It is closed in winter.
