The tour starts at the municipal office in Kauns and runs in the direction of Prutz. After the "WILIBU" turn right, turn left at the next junction, then always keep right and follow the Auchtweg to the hamlet of Goldegg. Alternating between asphalt and gravel surfaces, the winding route winds through more hamlets until you reach the main road. After crossing the main road, pass the Falpaus chapel on the right, after about 1 km turn first left and shortly afterwards right. On a forest road (a short stop at the Schnadigen pond is possible after about 0.5 km) the tour winds its way up in numerous hairpin bends alternately through meadows and sparse woodland to the Aifneralm. A special highlight is the Knottenkino at the Aifnerstein - 5 minutes walk from the alp. The return route follows the same route.
