Getting to the holiday region of the Tyrolean Oberland

Whether by car, train, bus or plane – here you will find information on how to get to the Tyrolean Oberland and its surrounding towns and villages quickly and easily.

By car

Here are a few important tips for getting to the Tyrolean Oberland:

Motorway toll sticker regulation in Austria:
A motorway fee applies in Austria. Those that are caught without a toll sticker are subject to large fines. Stickers can be bought at kiosks and petrol stations They are valid for 10 days, 2 months or a year. The regulation also applies to the Landeck Tunnel (alternative route possible). In winter you will need suitable equipment, including snow chains depending on the weather. High-visibility vests are mandatory in Austria – including for any passengers that leave the vehicle in the event of a breakdown or accident.

Getting here by train:

Get there better - by train to Tyrol/Austria.
With 33 direct connections daily and numerous connections with easy changes, the best winter destinations in Tyrol are easy to reach from many places in Germany. Often faster than by car. A train will take you comfortably and safely to your destination. From as little as 39 euros!Your children (aged under 15) can even travel with you free of charge (must be named on the ticket).

Your destination train station is Landeck-Zams. From there, you can reach the Tyrolean Oberland using the Postbusor a taxi (Prutz/Faggen - Ried - Tösens - Pfunds - Spiss).
