Ried in the Oberinntal valley is popular with (many long-standing) visitors for its idyllic and central location. At the heart of the holiday region of the Tyrolean Oberland, surrounded by the mountain ranges of Samnaun and the Ötztal Alps, this rustic village provides an endless list of leisure options. Families and nature lovers can relax in the dreamlike bathing lake, cross the gorge of the Fendler Bach stream by cable car, work on their climbing technique on the high ropes challenge, and go on amazing hikes and trips in the border triangle. Even in winter, Ried is the ideal base for sporty and more relaxed activities in the snow, thanks to its modern infrastructure. Plenty of pistes for all levels of ability are just a stone’s throw away – for example in the family ski area of Fendels or at Tyrol’s ski dimension Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis.

Cosy Tösens, snuggled in a narrow passage at the upper edge of the Inntal valley, is one of the smallest villages in the Tyrolean Oberland – and is absolutely charming and worth a visit. Its proximity to nature, rustic feel and warm hospitality make it the ideal holiday location for the whole family. Young and old alike will enjoy the peace and quiet, relaxation and range of experiences that it has to offer: Culture vultures can visit the Pfarrkirche Hl. Laurentius and the Medieval stone bridge, whilst the more active will enjoy idyllic hikes and cycling tours. In winter, you will be enticed into the nearby ski resorts and cross-country trails of the Tyrolean Oberland, on cleared hiking paths in the valley or with touring equipment up in the Alpine landscape.
