Pfunds - Spiss

These two holiday destinations at the heart of the imposing mountain landscape of the border triangle of Austria, Italy and Switzerland will ensure unforgettable experiences in nature.

Pfunds - “Boundlessly” grand

When you hear the words “holiday in Tyrol”, you will likely have a certain images in your head. And in sunny Pfunds, you can see them all for real! Located among mountains, gorges, pine forests, Alpine farms and romantic mountain valleys, the picturesque village in the border triangle is worth a trip at any time of the year. In summer, the eco-community of Pfunds will get the whole family moving – with hiking, cycling, canyoning, rafting and climbing on the high ropes challenge, as well as strolling through the beautiful village with its old farmhouses and homes. Alongside the literally “boundless” range of skiing opportunities in the best ski centres of western Tyrol, winter lovers will find a real natural idyll in the Pfundser Tschey plateau. Plus a whole host of winter hiking routes, ski touring routes, cross-country skiing trails, natural toboggan runs and ice-skating!

Spiss - A small but perfectly formed village of relaxation

Spiss, on the sunny slopes of the Samnauntal valley at 1,627 m above sea-level, is Austria’s highest community and the smallest village in the Tyrolean Oberland. The relaxed scattered settlement halfway to the customs haven of Samnaun is home to just under 130 people, and is particularly valued by holidaymakers for its friendly atmosphere. Hikes and bike tours on the surrounding Alpine pastures, a visit to the chic Baroque Expositurkirche or the large natural play area promise complete relaxation. A winter holiday in Spiss means sunny walks in the snow, tobogganing fun on the 2 km-long natural toboggan run and fun on the pistes at the nearby Samnaun-Ischgl ski arena.
