The Tyrolean Oberland has plenty to offer in terms of cross-country skiing: 150 kilometres of trails from easy to challenging spread over the border triangle of Austria, Italy & Switzerland. All with the cross-country quality seal!
There is plenty of cross-country skiing to be done in the border triangle with the holiday regions of Kaunertal, the Tyrolean Oberland and Nauders am Reschenpass. The region is spanned by a network of 120 kilometres of trails– from romantic valley trails to challenging high-altitude trails, for both skaters and “traditionalists”. Fans of the Nordic sport can easily cross over the border from Tyrol to South Tyrol and the Engadin in Switzerland. Some of these trails lie between 1,440 and 1,900 metres above sea-level and so have guaranteed snow – ideal for exercise as the altitude increases the training effect.
