The Tyrolean Oberland really knows how to do Alpine summer! More than 300 kilometres of marked hiking and mountain routes in and around the holiday destination of the Tyrolean Oberland form a fantastic network. There is a route for every pace, offering impressive views and glimpses of natural spectacles.

Easy valley hikes or relaxed mountain hikes, rolling Alpine pastures and mountain lakes, picturesque mountain valleys, spectacular gorges, canyons and waterfalls, rustic huts and lodgesat all altitudes: The impressive hiking region of the Tyrolean Oberland has it all. For those who are not too steady on their feet or who are still too small, there are cable cars in many locations that will take you to the summit – thanks to the summer card GOLD and the 3-countries GOLD summer card, most of them are even free!

What’s more, due to the region’s outstanding natural beauty and well-marked and maintained hiking routes, the local government of Tyrol has awarded it the title of “OUTSTANDING MOUNTAIN ROUTES”.

Hiking fun for young and old

These hiking pins will make the whole family want to go on a tour! On the hiking and mountain routes in the Ried-Prutz-Pfunds region of the Tyrolean Oberland, you more or less get bonus points for every step you take. Collect hiking badges as a reward.

For a small fee of € 3 you can get a hiking pass, in which you can enter your points and mountain hut stamps. Once you have the right amount of points, an information office in Ried, Prutz or Pfunds will give you a hiking pin upon presentation of your hiking pass. You can carry your points over across several stays in the Tyrolean Oberland.

The BRONZE hiking pin is worth 75 points, the SILVER 150 points and the GOLD 200 points. Children can get a hiking pin with 40 points or more.

Safety on the mountain

Take one of Tyrol’s professional mountain guides on your glacier or summit tour for a unique experience and ultimate safety on the mountain.
Be on thesafe sidewith a professional and benefit from the experience of Tyrol’s state-certified mountaineering guides. Around1,200 mountain hiking guidesand over700 top qualified mountain guidesare at your disposal, offering maximumsafety on the mountain. They will accompany you on tours through the Alpine landscape and ensure that you get safely to the top.

You can become a supporting member of BERGRETTUNG Tirol in order to enjoy your holiday with us to the full without having to worry about expensive helicopter rescue costs. In doing this, you take out insurance at the same time as supporting Bergrettung Tirol in its work. Become a supporting member here! Please enter your desired location in the Landeck district in the “Begünstigte Ortsstelle” (preferred location) field.
