Summer holidays in Tyrol
The Tyrolean Oberland offers everything you could want from a summer holiday in the Tyrolean Alps. Water, for example, is a key element, from the green Inn river, to idyllic mountain valleys, to the eternally frozen ice of the three-thousanders.
Mineral springs, bogs, torrents and waterfalls provide the soothing background noise of water on all hiking routes and around mountain huts & lodges. The River Inn, and its tributaries and gorges, are perfect for rafting and canyoning. Lakes and swimming pools provide all ages with opportunities to cool off with a spot of swimming, diving or paddling. Kneipp water treading facilities and the Sauerbrunn mineral spring bring relaxation and well-being to every holiday. And there are plenty more water-based experiences to be had in the Alpine landscape. But here, outdoor experiences go a step further. Usually upwards – with hiking, mountaineering and climbing. Or with an adrenaline rush, with a high ropes challenge, archery course or tandem paragliding.
