Sauerbrunnquelle (Spring) | Prutz

Attraction

Very special water source

Around 1750, the district of Prutz tapped into the spring and made it accessible. History tells us that Prutzer Wasser (Prutz Water) was discovered in 1212 by the shepherd Nikolaus Schederle, and the water was named after its discoverer “Nigglbrunnen“. Even Emperor Max I and Emperor Franz Ferdinand were fans of this spring.
