Above the Inn river, in Entbruck, hidden away in a rocky cave, there is a natural spring with carbonic mineral water containing iron.
This spring was discovered and made accessible by the people of Prutz in 1750. The fountain was called "Nigglbrunnen" after the shepherd, Nikolaus Schederle, who discovered the spring. Even the emperors Maximilian I and Franz Ferdinand were reported to have been impressed by this natural phenomenon.
