Near the Alpine hut Platzer Alm at an altitude of 2,000 m silver ore, which had
been prospected in the Platzertal valley (2,600 m), was smelted. The mine
was closed when in the modern age the mineral resources were deliverd from other
countries. Still today the ruin can be visited - from Pfunds to Greit in the
Tschey meadows and in the Platzertal valley.
