The charming town of Ried nestles in the heart of the Tirolean Oberland region. Ried has a population of 1000 and offers some 1100 beds for summer and winter guests. Close by, there is a very popular rafting area and a cable car which takes visitors into the hiking and family paradise that is the Ried, Prutz, and Fendels area.
Siegmundsried Castle is a historic place full of history Sigmundsried Castle used to be the castle of a village. In 1120, it was first mentioned in history books.

But there are many other exciting sports that you can practise here: rafting, canyoning, and other outdoor sports like tandem flights, tubing, and hydrospeed racing!
The cattle drive - a tradition that you should have seen at least once! When summer becomes fall, the lovingly decorated cows are brought back into the valley from the alpine huts.
