Hiking region ... The area offers some exciting hikes that reveal breathtaking mountains and glaciers. Highly trained and certified guides will accompany you on all of the hikes in the Kaunertal valley.
Glacier paradise ... Kaunertal glacier offers skiing all year round. In summer, one T-bar is open daily. The glacier patio is a great place to relax and unwind.
Recreational facilities... The Kaunertal Center offers comprehensive sports and leisure facilities such as indoor swimming pool, sauna, tanning bed, steam bath, bowling alley, gyms, tennis courts, asphalt curling and restaurant (open from 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm every day).
Fantastic hiking... The Kaunertal also has an attractive summer program. The smallest but most beautiful valley in the Ötztal Alps - called so by experienced hikers and regular guests - offers exceptional scenic beauty and a myriad of mountains that are over 3,000 meters. 250 km of hiking trails are available to hikers and nature lovers.
Traditions and customs.... Experience traditional celebrations, cattle parades and genuine Tirolean customs that are still practiced in the area. Visit traditional events, theater performances and slide shows. You will be in the middle of it all.
If you are lucky, you will get a glimpse of a capricorn during a hike. These animals are also part of the local tradition.
